FedEx launches new logistics facility in NSW

FedEx recently opened its new state-of-the-art sorting and distribution facility in Coffs Harbour, NSW.

FedEx said the facility will support economic growth in the region, as well as small and medium-sized enterprises looking to expand their domestic and international presence.

Spanning more than 2,400 square meters, it is equipped with advanced material handling and sorting technology, and can safely and efficiently sort 1,300 packages per hour.

“This state-of-the-art facility is an important milestone in our commitment to enhancing Australia’s value proposition, creating more opportunities for our customers, while supporting continued economic growth in regions like Coffs Harbour,” said Peter Langley, Vice President of FedEx Australia.

“By investing in Australia’s infrastructure and service improvements, we can achieve faster and more efficient freight delivery across the country.

“This expansion will not only strengthen our regional network and overall service offering, but will also enable local businesses to retain or even gain market share by providing customers with the best last-mile delivery experience.”

The new facility is strategically located close to the Pacific Highway, facilitating express pick-up and delivery services to Coffs Harbour and surrounding areas, including Grafton in the north and Ngai Creek in the south.

It also serves as a domestic and international collection point, providing a seamless end-to-end shipping service for local importers and exporters.
